Beeswax absolute is extracted from the beeswax by-product of honey production and is one of the few animal raw materials used in modern perfumery. Beeswax absolute is a lovely balsamic fixative with honey tones, useful in all number of woody and balsamic base note accords. This specific beeswax used to make this absolute is sourced from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and the manufacturer has explained to us that they prefer this producer since a generous amount of honey is left in the honeycombs, which ultimately contributes to a stronger honey note in the final beeswax absolute extraction.
