Linalool is widely produced in nature and it follows that it's a natural constituent of many essential oils. It's also used on its own in perfumery, an it follows that is very useful for creating a natural backdrop, especially when adding realism to foliage, floral and fruity accords. It can be used in its own right as a top-mid note in a similar fashion to Bergamot. The perfume here at The Fragrance Foundry finds it very useful for "creating space" within perfume compositions. On its own, it smells of soft fuzzy foliage and reminds the perfumer of a sun-dappled forest floor.
