Linalilacetat je ena glavnih sestavin eteričnih olj bergamota in sivke. Sam vonja mehkeje in čisteje, predstavlja en mehek mehak ton. Je odličen kot mešalnik med vrhnjimi in srednji notami v parfumskih kompozicijah, polni druge materiale s toplo mehkobo (podobno kot se tradicionalno uporablja bergamot, vendar z manj očitno citrusnim karakterjem). Ta material se obsežno uporablja v modernih parfumskih kompozicijah.
