This particular absolute extract from Biolandes does not fail to impress. If you're looking for a rich and complex true vanilla odour profile in contrast to the popular and far cheaper vanillin, then this is the stuff to use.

The vanilla plant is an orchid native to Mexico. Its cultivation has gradually spread to several other countries, making it one of the world’s most widely consumed spices. Today Madagascar is the leading producer of Vanilla planifolia beans, its “Bourbon” quality being the most highly prized. Biolandes’ factory in Ambanja, Madagascar, sources vanilla beans from selected growers in the famous “Vanilla Triangle” in the northeast part of the country.
