Highly flammable liquid and vapour. Causes serious eye irritation.
Keep away from heat/sparks/open flames/hot surfaces. — No smoking. Use explosion-proof electrical/ventilating/lighting/…/equipment. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.

Geosmin is produced naturally by bacteria and is responsible for the strong earthy smell of fresh soil. It is evocative of petrichor, the fresh smell in nature after the rain and it's one of the primary components in our petrichor accord, alongside floralozone. Humans have evolved to be extremely sensitive to this smell and as such Geosmin remains powerful even in heavy dilution; use sparingly.
