La cetona de frambuesa no siempre es el material más fácil de trabajar; muchos perfumistas tienen problemas para olerla sola o incluso en dilución. Ofrece un aroma limpio de algodón de azúcar afrutado que puede ser bastante sutil, pero muy útil para agregar una sensación de bayas afrutadas a los perfumes. Si bien no crea una representación precisa del olor de las frambuesas sola (vea Robertet's Raspberry base para eso), no obstante es muy útil como material principal en acordes de bayas y más generalmente como potenciador en composiciones de perfume modernas, en particular para ayudar a crear un toque divertido y afrutado.
