Tabanon is one of the go to synthetic perfumery materials which is used in the recreation of the smell of tobacco. Herod by Parfums de Marly is one such instance where Tabanon is used in this way. This extremely powerful and diffusive molecule is in fact naturally found in Tobacco and the molecule's chemical structure is reminiscent of the equally powerful damascones. Effective in doses of 0.01% in the final product - mix with woody notes and optionally damascones, ionones and even tobacco absolute to finish off your tobacco accord.
