Bois d'encens on ainutlaatuinen suitsukemainen raaka-aine, jonka valmistaa kuuluisa ranskalainen valmistaja Robertet. Se on Olibanum (Frankincense):n ja Setripuun yhteistislaus, joka luo mahdollisuuden ainutlaatuisille reaktioille lämpimien höyryjen välillä ennen jäähtymistä lopulliseksi öljyksi, mikä tekee siitä erityisen verrattuna pelkkään olibanumi- ja setripuu-eteeristen öljyjen sekoittamiseen. Smells great but it's very delicate

Really great scent profile, a unique combination of the incense-like facets of frankincense oil and cedar, it almost reminds me of a stick of palo santo. Sadly though, even in neat form and more so when diluted this performs very poorly on blotter and skin. It'd need to be used in overdose to highlight its character in a composition and would need some serious help with projection and longevity from other supporting materials.

Wild Interiority

The title of this review expresses exactly what I feel when I smell this fragrance.

It makes me think of those natural, secluded landscapes where everything seems so calm and peaceful, yet at the same time you can sense a wild energy ready to explode at any moment.

Like when you're lucky enough to observe wild deer grazing silently, always ready to flee as soon as they sense they're being watched.

It's perfect with cypress trees and "forestry" materials, but I also love it when you want to create something that evokes the feeling of being on the coast, gazing out at a stormy sea.

Whispers of Incense

Bois d’Encens smells like a refined woody incense. Harmonised and elegant it gives a smooth woodsmoke slightly peppery warmth to my blends, helps to extend and deepen woody characters even at trace amounts
