Setripuu tarjotaan yleensä eteerisen öljynä, mutta tämä tuote on paljon harvinaisempi absoluuttinen uute. Tämä uute on peräisin Atlas-setripuusta, joka on paljon pehmeämpi ja balsaminen verrattuna Virginian setripuuhun, jolla on tunnusomainen kynälastu-tuoksu. Atlaksen setripuu on puu, joka on kotoisin Marokosta ja Algeriasta. Marokossa setrimetsä kattaa lähes 130 000 hehtaaria (320 000 eekkeriä) Rif- ja Atlas-vuoristossa, korkeudella 1 600–2 000 metriä. Puut voivat kasvaa 40 metrin korkeuteen. Hakkuutoimintaa säädellään tässä natural-metsässä. Atlaksen setripuun eteerinen öljy tislataan sahanpurusta, joka on puutavarateollisuuden sivutuote.

Great quality and presentation

fantastic presentation and speedy delivery, I received a lovely box where the oils slotted in nicely, as well as lots of stickers allowing me to dilute and label my oils to a desired percentage (multiple dilution option ready printed for you)
, and all of this arriving only a day after my order was placed.

See Cedarwood Atlas absolute itself is a beautiful warm balsamic and ambery note with elements of hay and whiskey. I compared this to how much cheaper essential oil of C double Atlas and although the smells were actually quite similar., the essential oil had a sharp almost sour, urine-like facet which was not overpowering but certainly there. In this absolute however that element was recognisable but instead was a much more refined and softened note to reminiscence of hay. The essential oil was also a bit more diffusive and powdery whereas this state slightly closer to the skin and had an overall smoother experience to it. Part of me was hoping for something far removed from the typical essential oil and perhaps more amazing and groundbreaking considering the vast difference in price, but the scent profile nevertheless is fantastic and a very refined and smooth extraction.
