Aldehyde C12 MNA is one of the classic aliphatic aldehydes which became famous with the introduction of Channel's famous number 5 perfume. This aldehyde is very clean and soapy, with frankincense (olibanum; i.e. church incense) undertones. Usually used in trace amounts but may be overdosed to exhibit it's character clearly in the opening of a fragrance (e.g. to create a clean effect).
