Labdanum is a sweet, balsamic, dark-resinous material extracted from the rock rose in the Mediterranean and has been a core part of the perfumer's palette for centuries. It's indispensable for making Amber, Chypre and Incense accords, a staple raw material in perfumery which can be used in countless contexts.

Our Labdanum absolute is very carefully selected. We've sampled 10 different batches from different manufacturers to ensure we get the best quality possible product. We stock a "light" variety of Labdanum, which makes perfumes less dark than the more animalic "dark" variety of Labdanum. Our Labdanum has a unique honey top note unlike any of the others we trailed, which gives it a special glowing warmth and sweetness. It dries down into a leathery scent profile.
