Aldehyde C10 is een van de klassieke alifatische aldehyden die beroemd werden met de introductie van Channel's beroemde nummer 5 parfum. Van nature komt het voor in citrusschil oliën en draagt het bij aan de heldere sprankeling van die oliën. Het is zeer potent en ruikt olieachtig en citrusachtig alleen. Het is effectief in spoorh levels bij het geven van een sprankelende lift aan parfumcomposities.
