Ethyleenbrassylaat is een van de meest gebruikte muskusgeuren in de parfumerie, en dat is niet zonder reden. Het is zacht en neutraal met hints van vanillezoetheid. Het is langdurig en past in vrijwel elke parfumcompositie. Het vormt een basis waarop andere noten kunnen voortbouwen en laat een prachtige, zachte, aanhoudende geur achter op de huid van de drager.
