Cinnamon is commonly used at an essential oil in perfumery, however this is the less common cinnamon absolute. It's less powerful but longer lasting than the essential oil. It's also less bright and sharp, instead being richer, deeper, more complex and very true to the actual smell of cinnamon.

Cinnamon trees grow in all countries bordering the Indian Ocean. Sri Lanka is the main producer, with part of the world’s supply also coming from Madagascar. Biolandes produces a number of extracts using cinnamon bark and leaves from these countries.
