Benzoin has long been used as a fixative for over a century in perfumery. Its sweet-vanilla balsamic tones blend well into many compositions, and in particular, amber, oriental and floral compositions. This specific Benzoin from Biolandes was chosen by us since it features beautiful vanillia-floral pollen notes. The product is diluted to 50% in DPG by the manufacturer (as is commonplace) to make it easier to handle (since Benzoin in its raw form is difficult to work with).
More about the production of this specific Benzoin can be found on the manufacturer's website.
