Celestolide is a musk which is perhaps less trendy than others, yet possesses a fairly unique profile. It's bright with subtle fruity inflections, and is not overpowering and dominating like many of the more powdery or animalic musks. The perfumer here at The Fragrance Foundry finds it particularly useful for constructing a soft, bright and transparent base note.
