Similar to isobutyl phenylacetate, which is used by Jean Claude Ellena in his sketch of the smell of chocolate (from the book "Diary of a Nose") when combined with vanillin. Isoamyl phenylacetate has two sides: One sweet and balsamic, the other thick and animalic. This material is suited for heavy gourmand and animalic compositions.
