A unique top note with fruity-apple and earthy nuances. While fairly unimpressive alone, the perfumer here at The Fragrance Foundry finds this raw material not only indispensable for apple accords, but also that it works very well with rose. It's excellent for providing lift to heavier perfume compositions without introducing a pronounced top note; rather it can sit well in many context to help round other things out.
This version is stronger and longer lasting than some of the generic versions of the same molecule sold as "Green acetate" sold elsewhere. This is important given the already subtle nature of the molecule.

As I'm working through my raw material studies, Verdox was one of the easiest materials to recognise. The apple character is immediately apparent, and to my nose there's also a pleasant green freshness that makes it feel even more natural.
What surprised me most was discovering how well it works with rose. Adding a small amount brings a beautiful freshness and lift that makes a rose accord feel brighter, more modern, and more alive without taking away its floral character.
The quality from The Fragrance Foundry is excellent, making it a pleasure to study. Verdox has quickly become one of those materials I keep reaching for, and I can see why it's considered an essential part of a perfumer's palette.
This is a great addition to a collection of raw materials for fruit fragrances including apple. More subtle and interesting than the better known synthetics.
